Both these gauntlets and scabbard are made from Moose-split with glass seed beads and twisted fringe. Influenced by the U.S. Cavalry, Plains Indian women adopted the pattern worn by soldiers. The knife in the scabbard has a Damascus blade and antler grip and was made by "Knife-Maker", the late Doug Morris formerley of Frankford, Ont. |
